Insights into Urgent Humanitarian Needs in the Middle East, Asia, and Africa

Worldwide Humanitarian Organization (WWHO), in collaboration with International Child Welfare and Save Elders, organized a virtual webinar entitled “Insights into Urgent Humanitarian Needs in the Middle East, Asia, and Africa,” bringing together a distinguished group of speakers.

The webinar examined urgent humanitarian needs across a number of regions and highlighted the importance of understanding and responding to humanitarian priorities in diverse contexts. It also provided an opportunity to share experiences and perspectives from experts and practitioners working in the humanitarian, community, and academic fields.

The speakers included:

  • Dr. Mohamed Azmi Abdul Hamid — Chairman of MAPIM Humanitarian Organization, Malaysia.
  • Dr. Othman Al-Samadi — Associate Professor at Al Hussein Technical University.
  • His Eminence Sheikh Hatem Al-Bakri — Chairman of the Islamic Charitable Association, Palestine.
  • Mr. Bilal Al-Abbasi — Programs Director at Restore Hope Organization.

The webinar was held virtually via Zoom on February 16, 2026, with sessions scheduled according to different time zones to accommodate participants from various regions.

The event reflects the importance of dialogue and knowledge exchange on humanitarian needs and priorities, while contributing to greater awareness of the challenges facing affected communities and supporting a deeper understanding of humanitarian priorities and effective response approaches.
